Inspired by Blake Lively

Not only is she the new face of Chanel and Anna Wintour's number one gal pal, she is one of my favorite style icons. Playing Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, her character is part-couture, part-bohemian. She plays a free spirit, and her style truly matches that in real life. Oh, and did I mention Christian Loutboutin named a shoe after her? Jealous, yes! Blake truly has the All American girl look and the All American style (and the All American charmed life!)

Etsy Pick: Unique Art Pendants

Not only do I love artsy jewelry, but I truly love artsy jewelry decorated with seahorses and whales. Adding nature to accessories can add whimsy to any outfit and really show your personality and interests. I'm a huge Cetacean lover, so this whale cuff is right up my alley. But the other ocean-related accessories are great too. There is also an assortment of lockets and pendants decorated with other wonders from the natural world. Your collection really is artsy; I love it! xoxo, MS

Inspired by Jane Eyre

I saw a matinee showing of Jane Eyre yesterday and was really digging the costumes. The flowy dresses and skirts totally channeled the current trends right now that I have been seeing here in Chicago (on the few spring days we've had so far, that is). Also, I loved the lace collars, bonnets, and oxfords. Here are a few ideas to get a Jane-Esque look.

Paying homage to the great, Elizabeth Taylor

Today the world lost a legend. Elizabeth Taylor was not only an actress and model, she was a giving philanthropist, activist, friend and mom. An inspiration. After fighting a courageous battle, she has ended all struggle and suffering. The world will not forget her!
