And my obsession with all-things-Gwen continues. I decided to take a new spin on my classic, first season L.A.M.B. hoodie. What is better than a graphic, black and white cashmere cardigan designed by Gwen Stefani? Nothing! I got a lot of compliments on my outfit (which is from earlier this week) and felt like a million bucks. I love the print-on-print trend, but always feel it looks a little strange or out of place on me. I tried it and now i'm hooked! The trick is to stay within the same color palate (you don't have too--I have seen tons of other looks on pinterest that I love, but i'm not quite brave enough yet). Stay tuned, I may just try them out. As always, xoxo.
I have always fantasized about owning an iconic DVF wrap dress. Did I think it would ever happen? No, not really. But a couple of days ago, this serendipitous moment occurred in one of my favorite designer consignment shops downtown. This little beauty was marked down and after making all of the checks to determine its authenticity, I dropped my card and it was MINE. I wore it to work today and felt like a million bucks. The wrap is really the most universally-flattering type and hats off to the lovely Diane for creating it. This dress made me feel like a fabulous, fashionable grown-up! Yes, a dress can really do that. xoxo, MS

Every time Target has a designer collaboration, I get giddy and excited and cannot wait to check it out! I am online weeks before looking for sneak-peak photos and then of course, coveting every piece. Well this one is the collaboration to top all Target-collabs. Target is pairing up with NEIMAN MARCUS and 24 CFDA brands to create a Holiday 2012 collection with pieces ranging from $7.99-$499.00. Drumroll please...the big names include Alice + Olivia, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Brian Atwood, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Eddie Borgo, Jason Wu, Judith Leiber, Lela Rose, Marchesa, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Philip Crangi, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Robert Rodriguez, Rodarte, Skaist-Taylor, Thom Browne, Tory Burch and Tracy Reese. Each designer will create 3 pieces each to be sold at all Target and Neiman Marcus stores, along with their websites.Totally amazing. The collection debuts December 1st so start saving. I don't know how to explain how utterly antsy I am for this! Baaaahhh!!
Neon yellow pants? Why not?! I love adding pops of color like this into my day outfits--especially since this citrine shade is so hot right now. This was, yet again, another work look and I'm digging it. So comfy cool!
I am so excited to finally see the cover and photos of Gwen on the September issue of Harper's Bazaar. I am definitely the biggest fan of her rocker-chic vibe and crimson lips, but this soft cover and spread are so refreshing. All of the fashion (Oscar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Vera Wang, DVF, Versace, The Row) and Terry Richardson also add to the amazing-ness. I can't help but be reminded of Gwen's John Galliano-designed wedding gown. Gwen always looks stunning. Love her! xoxo, MS
Today I was channeling one of my favorite style icons, Carolina Herrera. There is something about a collared white shirt that is so timeless. I loved that this shirt was was a little different than the standard--the small black grosgrain belt, the transparency and the fact that it's sleeveless. I had to keep up with timeless feel with black and leopard. Classy.
