PR Season 9 Finale

Well i'm happy to say that my favorite runway-er this season, Anya Ayoung-Chee won it all this year. I loved every single piece in her final collection and the judges must have too! Anya was also crowned fan favorite which scored her a cool $10,000 prize, which she is using to start her own charity. I definitely agree that there is a lack of easy-breezy clothing in fashion, aside from Calypso St. Barth.

Viktor Luna was the third runner-up, even though I felt he should have been second. Did you see his construction? That white leather jacket? Come on! Josh's collection was okay--i'm not a total fan of neon, although I love neoprene (wetsuits!) but his attitude may have altered how I felt about him in general. And Kimberly, I liked some pieces but was unsure about the cohesiveness of the collection (and the color combos). All in all, i'm very pleased with how this season turned out. Congrats to all the designers! xoxo, MS

InStyle's November Covergirl is...

Gwen Stefani! I pick up InStyle magazine religiously, but this gives me a reason to get out on October 21st to pick up this issue. Gwen looks stunning on the cover in pink and chats about Harajuku Mini for Target, next year's album and her family. Could she be any more fabulous? Ahhh...I love her!

Totally Wu-ed.

I never thought that I want want to just bypass Christmas, but for this I can make an exception. Jason Wu announced his collaboration for Target to hit stores and Target.com on February 5 and it sound promising! If what he is prepping in this video is any indication of what is going to be included in the collection, then sign me up for all of it! The navy/yellow color combination is so refreshing. Wu said his collection would include womanswear and handbags and range from $19.99-$59.99.

First Sign of Snow

A word of warning, when snow is the last thing you want, do not wish for it to stay away. This weekend, we decided to drive up to my new work location, and low-and-behold, snow! But upon seeing the seeing the colors of the changing tree covered in frost, I turned a new leaf myself. As long as snow is just covering the tops of trees and barely dusting the ground, it's okay with me!

A Rainy Friday

My first thought when I woke up today: Brr...do I have to get out of bed today? My second thought: Layers! While it's true that my favorite part of with fall/winter months is wearing boots and cozy socks, I also love being able to layer my looks. Today wasn't a total layering-moment (no sweaters or scarves), but I got to throw on a blazer and button up (and boots, of course!). Have a lovely weekend everyone! Pray for (no) snow! xoxo, MS
