The Row +TOMS

Attention TOMS' fans, The Row has collaborated with TOMS shoes recently and the results are pretty terrific. For those who don't know, The Row is Mary Kate and Ashley Olson's super-luxe designer line.  The Olson twins not only have The Row, but they have also Olsonboye and Elizabeth and James to add to their design resume (and now, TOMS!) The shoes retail for $140-$150 and made from quality fabrics.

As always, for every pair of shoes purchased, a pair of shoes will be given to a child in need as part of the TOMS 'One for One.'

Etsy pick: Alexandra Grecco

I have been lacking in my quest to find the greatest Etsy shops lately. I know, I know. It's a total crime! BUT during the lull I found quite the gem! Alexandra Grecco's shop includes a little whimsy for everything. Her collection of fluid dresses, braided headbands and sparkly hairpieces are definitely something to drool over. I love your shop, Alexandra! xoxo, MS

Adorably Miu Miu

So I finally got around to watching True Grit (about time, right?) During the movie and after, I couldn't stop thinking how adorable Hailee Steinfeld is. Not only is she on the brink of becoming a huuuge star, she's the new face of Miu Miu. LUCKY! On why Miu Miu designer Miuccia Prada chose the actress:

“She is a girl with the stature to carry these mature and elegant silhouettes, while still remaining true to her youthful spirit. It is this timeless exuberance in attitude and strength of character that is found in all Miu Miu women.”

Here are the new ads featuring Ms. Steinfeld. Also, a few new photos of stars celebrating the genius of Miu Miu.

Harajuku Mini for Target

Well, Gwen Stefani is at it again! It's been announced that she is designing a children's line for Target, Harajuku Mini. Her collection will feature clothing for babies, children and tweens with two parts: one dropping in November and then next in January. Prices will range from $3.99-$29.99, very affordable! A collection of Harajuku Mini backpacks are already in Target stores right now! According to Gwen herself:
“Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.”
I can't wait to see this collection! This may be wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be fabulous to see a L.A.M.B-Target collaboration? Ahhh! Only in my dreams...

Pretty Pastels

So it has been nearly a decade since i've last been on here (yes, i'm exaggerating) but i'm back! Although the fashion world does not stop-and-go like my life, I decided to take a little break--I wasn't feeling the most inspired. There was a little something to get me out of my design-rut and back behind my Sony at the graces of Jadore Lucy. This little gem is sherbert. A little dish of this orange confection was just the treat! The loveliness of of pastels have sparked my creative side. They are perfect for summer and work the best as a pop of color in an outfit. Whether it be as a manicure or a handbag, it's the perfect palette to get you out of your AC and out on the town!
