Style of Chicago

One of my favorite things about living in a new city is the amount of stylish people everywhere. Seeing the vast amount on the streets and public transportation is like a fashion show, day after day. Not only is it fun to watch everyone strut their stuff, it's inspiring to see the different outfits in this ecceletic group of fashionistas. Not only is Chicago home to one of the most prestigious fashion programs at the Art Institute of Chicago, it boasts The Magnificent Mile which is home to many designer flagships, like Chanel and Gucci, and high-end boutiques. It's rare to see someone not tuned into the stylistic freedom of the city.

While browsing another blog, I managed to come across Amy Creyer's website, Chicago Streetstyle Scene . She tracks down fashionable people on the street, takes their photo, and posts it on her website. Not only does Amy capture these with her camera, she is a down-right style maven herself. What a cool idea? Love your site, Amy! Thanks for giving me another reason to love your city! xoxo, MS

The Magnificent Mile is an eight-block stretch of stores, restaurants and hotels in Chicago's downtown.
